State Rep. Woodruff, NOLA Council Members Head & Williams Endorse NOCCJ’s “Great Health Race”

Official Release by NOCCJ

State Representative Ebony Woodruff, along with New Orleans City Councilmember’s Stacy Head and Jason Williams, have given their official letters of support & endorsement of The New Orleans Council for Community & Justice’s (NOCCJ) “Great Health Race” project.

The Great Health Race is a bold initiative to educate and empower the K-12 grade school students of New Orleans to pursue health conscious lifestyles, while motivating them to be leaders & advocates capable of addressing the current health challenges of New Orleans food culture. In order to accomplish this goal NOCCJ in partnership with Doublet Media is developing an online, interactive digital application & website for computers & handheld devices, which will serve as a wellness toolkit, and encourage young people in the City of New Orleans to participate in social activity games & food/fitness challenges for reaching the health goals of our program.
